Fresh Guide

^L_ • Brasilia / Berlin

(English Version Below)

From Brasilia to Berlin!

ORIGINAL ENGLISH VERSION

2017 is gone. How was yours? Which things will you remember?

It was a productive year because I have released seven tracks in the second half of the year. All the tracks are available in the main stores all around the world, like Beatport, Traxsource, iTunes, Juno, etc. ... they all are receiving good reviews and I am quite happy with the final result.

The Murder Ballad (Spliced Vinyl Records)
JD Salinger Likes Acid (MTDN Recs)
K (MTDN Recs)
Minimal Violence (Del Sol Music)
Sad Song to Mad People (Del Sol Music)
Fake DMT (Antime Records)
Rovara - Duality - ^L_ Remix (MTDN Records)
Alice in Chains is better than Pearl Jam (MTDN Recs)

2017 was very productive because I am in a very prolific moment. In the first half I made recordings in Berlin and the second in my studio. In January I'll release another track on the Canadian label and in February probably one in their EP. They are the result of constant recordings made in 2017. It was a year of many recordings.

Some weeks ago the “Antime v05 Compilation” has been released, including a track by you with Bad Stream, recorded in Berlin. The name of this track is “Fake DMT” - based on a personal experience? How long did it take you, to do this track - and to find this track name?

This track was recorded in partnership with Bad Stream (aka Martin Steer and Antime Founder and Frittenbude guitarrist) in his studio in Berlin. We are great friends and we have a lot of musical affinity, so it was a fast, easy and fun process. We bought some "Fake DMT" at Warschauer Straße and everything worked very well. We were sending trippy baselines through a chain of 10 guitar pedals and recorded it through fender amps. We recorded a series of tracks and I worked on that stuff in Brasilia - and Martin in Berlin. That will become an EP which will be released in 2018. This track "Fake DMT" is the first result of this partnership.
The second track of this material is called „Ivanka lost her iPhone X in Bangladesh“ - and will be available exclusively for the Fresh Guide! The future plan is to play shows together in May in Berlin and Brasilia in late 2018.
About the name: I do not have much to say ... or I have much ...

Your Releases on the Miami based label “DelSol” brought your sound to the northern american region. How does your sound work there? Are there already any feedbacks or ideas of what to come there next?

I have released two songs on Del Sol - "Minimal Violence" and "Sad Song For Mad People" - and "The Murder Ballad" on a very good Canadian label called Spliced Vinyl Records. In January I'll release another track called "People Are Poison" on Spliced Vinyl Records in Toronto. In February there will be an EP on another label based in Tampa/Florida named VFTR Sounds. I am very well treated in Northern America and I have a great relationship with both labels. Those tracks on two American labels have promoted my work a lot, especially in Florida. Those tracks have received positive reviews and are being shared on several blogs and all possible platforms. I am very excited about my future release by VFTR!

What else is coming in 2018 ~ what's on your map?

For the first half of 2018 it's all about releasing more tracks, in January, February, March - maybe one track per month. And doing more live shows! As mentioned: The Release of the record in partnership with Bad Stream as a full EP and new recordings and shows in Berlin!
For the second half of the year it's the goal to record my new album, complete ... the successor to "The Outsider" from 2016.
Never stop, never… this is most important.
That’s it… thank you so much for interview.
