We Are happy to be a officiall part of the Fete de la Musique, a worldwide free Music Festival. And we are also proud to present the mighty Evolution Band featuring TREESHA.
Both Are well known as the Backing Band and backing Vocals of Gentleman (who don’t need and further introduction) TREESHA will presents her new Solo Album which is produced by the Evolution Band and released by BuffBaff Records. Despite the given circumstances the release still wants to be celebrated. Therefore the BuffBaff Records team invited TREESHA for a livestream concert at Festsaal Kreuzberg.

The Berlin Reggae United project is an union of independent Berlin promoters, agencies and Soundsystems of Reggae, Dancehall and all the subgengres. Since 30 years and over 2000 events, shows, concerts or dances we are the main activists of this culture in the city. As we are all under the lockdown and as there will be no live events until the end of the year we want to rise the banner and want to show that the culture is still alive.
BuffBaff presents TREESHA
BuffBaff Records is a Berlin based music label, the founders of which have played a key role in the German reggae scene since the turn of the millennium. The musicians and producers behind the label are members of the former Feueralarm Band and Gentleman’s band The Evolution. For their current release they collaborated with the Kenyan singer Treesha and interpreted the R’n’B classic Angel of Mine by Eternal (or Monica) with a modern reggae beat. The collaboration with Treesha already began much earlier on. For the first time in 2015 for her debut album Listen, in which a large part of the songs were produced or recorded by the label members. In addition to the album, Treesha has received international attention for numerous singles such as Rude Gyal
Swing or Fyah Daughter (feat.Queen Ifrica) and for her concerts at numerous festivals (including Summerjam, Rototom Sunsplash) worldwide.

Wir freuen uns, offizieller Partner der Fete de la Musique sein zu
dürfen. Ferner freuen wir uns, eine der besten Reggae Bands Europas präsentieren zu können. The EVOLUTION BAND begleitet seit vielen Jahren den Ausnahme Künstler Gentleman, der wohl keine weiteren Vorstellung bedarf. Zusammen mit BuffBaff Records präsentieren sie die Sängerin TREESHA, ebenfalls als Sängerin von Gentleman bereits in allen Ohren. Sie stellt ihr neues Album vor, welches von der Evolution Band produziert wurde und nun auf BuffBaff Records erscheint.
Dies soll natürlich trotz der jetztigen Umständen gefeiert werden, und so werden sie im Rahmen unseres wöchentlichen BerlinReggaeUnited Live Streams ein Konzert der Extra-Klasse aus dem Festsaal Kreuzberg spielen.
Abgerundet wird der Abend von Supersonic, ohne Zweifel, eines der besten Reggae Sounds der Welt, City Lock und Timeless. Bereits tagsüber ist für uns das KiezBringo SoundSystem in den Strassen Berlins unterwegs. Gemeinsam mit einigen illustren Live Gästen (u.a. Mal Élevé von den Irie Revoltés) werden sie den Fans "live+direct" die karribischen Klänge näher bringen.
Hinter Berlin Reggae United steht ein Kollektiv freier Veranstalter, die seit 30 Jahren in Berlin Reggae und Dancehall Events mit all deren Subkulturen und Facetten in Berlin organisieren. Sie sind der
Hauptpfeiler der Berliner Szene und damit verantwortlich, dass die
Reggae-Kultur in Berlin aktiv gelebt werden kann. Im Übrigen ist
Reggae-Musik seit 2018 immaterielles Kulturerbe der Menschheit (UNESCO).

Das Ziel ist klar: Die Berliner Reggae Veranstalter müssen die nächsten 6 Monate überleben, um danach wieder kräftig Konzerte und Partys veranstalten zu können. Die Soforthilfen des Staates greifen dabei zu wenig. Fühl dich angesprochen, wenn du schonmal in Berlin auf einem Reggae Konzert oder einer Party warst, einen kleinen Beitrag zu leisten.
