El
Caribefunk´s members began playing music as children in Cartagena de
Indias,Colombia, an african rooted harbour city where rhythm is
everywhere. It particulary sound is an explosive fusion of Salsa,
Cumbia, Calpyso, haitian Kompa & Zouk, they mix rythms and poetry
expressing intense caribbean colours.
The band of 4 young men has
built a fervent underground following with over 4 years of nearly
non-stop touring in the Americas and is highly acclaimed by latin
media. From 2014 until 2016 they did more than 500 shows incluiding
an Europe tour. Authors of two LPs "Caribefunk" &
"Playaman" are preparing their next album for
2018.

aus der karibischen Küstenstadt Cartagena stammenden Musiker der
Band begannen bereits als Kinder sich mit Musik zu beschäftigen. Der
an der kolumbianischen Karibiküste vorherschende Mix mit
afrikanischen Wurzeln aus Salsa, Cumbia, Calypso, Kompa & Zouk
prägt auch die Musik von El Karibefunk.

Los
miembros de El Caribefunk comenzaron a tocar música desde niños en
Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, una ciudad portuaria de fuertes
influencia africana donde el ritmo y el sabor están por todo lados.
El sonido de la banda es particularmente explosivo, fusiona Salsa,
Cumbia, Calpyso, Compa haitiano, Zouk y bullerengue entre otros
ritmos, se fusiona el ritmo y poesia de intensos colores
caribeños.
El Caribefunk ha salido al escenario internacional
durante más de 4 años de gira consecutiva recorriendo desde la
Patagonia hasta Norteamérica. Desde 2014 hasta 2016 hicieron más de
500 espectáculos incluyendo una gira por Europa, además son autores
de dos LPs "Caribefunk" y "Playaman" y están
preparando su próximo álbum para 2018.
