Cumbia Fest Berlin „Día de los Muertos“

On 3rd of November 2017 Yaam & Tropy Vibes present the first edition of CUMBIA FEST BERLIN celebrating the Day of the Dead ”El Día de los Muertos“.

This special day is celebrated in Mexico and all Latin America and combines ancient indigenous traditions and modern spirit. The night at Yaam will be more than a party: You will enter into a world of colours and music, the entire place will transform into a great altar and together we will celebrate alongside friends and family of present and past!
The highlights of the night are the two live acts: SONIDO GALLO NEGRO, the best psychedelic cumbia from Mexico with a particular, deep sound full of autentic roots. A fusion of the amazonic cumbia with a flavour of garage, chicha and boogaloo!
And KUMBIA BORUKA, the most promising cumbia band on the European continent with a powerful sound influenced by the colombian cumbia of the sixties. A band that creates a new wave cumbia – a hibrid, modern and conscious sound!
Different DJ´s from north to south of Latin America from the scene of Berlin and Hamburg will guarantee dance and good vibes all night, all oft hem with their own style of latin music. The Mezcal Lounge and the Mexican street food truck offer a further spot to enjoy a great night!

Am 3. November 2017 präsentieren Yaam & Tropy Vibes die erste Edition des CUMBIA FEST BERLIN, bei dem der Tag der Toten “El Día de los Muertos“ gefeiert wird. Dieser besondere Tag wird vor allem in Mexiko und in vielen anderen Ländern Lateinamerikas groß zelebriert und verbindet alte Traditionen mit modernen Einflüssen. Die Nacht im Yaam wird mehr als eine Party: Du wirst hinabtauchen in eine Welt aus Farben und Musik, an einem Ort, der sich in einen riesigen Altar verwandelt - zusammen feiern wir an der Seite von Freunden aus der Gegenwart und der Vergangenheit!
Highlight der Nacht sind die beiden Live-Acts zweier der wohl wichtigsten Bands der aktuellen Cumbia-Szene: SONIDO GALLO NEGRO, die beste psychedelic Cumbia aus Mexiko mit einem tiefen eigenwilligen Sound und authentischen Wurzeln. Eine Verschmelzung der amazonischen Cumbia mit Einflüssen von Garage, Chicha und Boogaloo!
Und KUMBIA BORUKA, eine der vielversprechendsten Bands in Europa mit einem kraftvollen Sound ausgehend von der kolumbianischen Cumbia der siebziger Jahre. Eine Band, die die “Neue Cumbia" schafft – hybrid, modern und kritisch.
Weitergefeiert wird zur Musik vom Plattenteller mit Djs verschiedenster Länder von Nord bis Süd des lateinamerikanischen Kontinents aus der Berliner und Hamburger Szene, jeder mit seinem eigenen Stil innerhalb des Genres der Cumbia.
Abwechslung bieten die Mezcal Lounge und die Reggae Bar, während am Mexican Street Food Truck der kleine Hunger gestillt werden kann!
